Friendship
Change is hard. Change can be scary, nerve wracking and stressful. Last year, moving to this house, moving jobs, moving the kids schools was all of the above. We don't regret it for a minute. We are so thankful to have found our slice of perfection. This perfection increased the day Riley met Brooke at school and we became friends with her family.
A perfect friendship

Pumpkin Carving
To carve our pumpkins this year I gave the kids full control of their design. If you know me well, you know how hard that was for me. I gave them each a Sharpie with only one instruction, to draw lines where they want cut.
They were so happy with their finished products that they wouldn't put the pumpkins on our porch, they slept with them.
Pleased as punch, or should I say pleased as a pumpkin.
Halloween Night 2012
It was a very rainy Halloween Night. But, no amount of rain could keep us from our annual mice and ghost dinner with friends and trick or treating.
Being the classy people we are, I cut holes in three large clear garbage bags so the kids could stay dry and have their costumes be seen. It worked incredibly well, I wish I had made one for myself too.
Because of the cold and rain I only took a few photos with my phone.

Saying Goodbye
Sadly, Lucy Diamond Hubbard passed away last week. It was a devastating night for poor Riley. She was so sad, she loved that Hamster.
She asked if she could plan her funeral. She made invitations, constructed a wooden cross, dug a hole in our backyard and wrote a 5 page eulogy for her. Heart Breaking.
Lucy is now in the sky with diamonds:).

I'm back....
I am back in business!!! I finally have a laptop of my very own, no more trying to update from my iPad. I hope over the next couple of days to have this blog updated. So many things to say, to share, to post.

Work, Work, Work
We have had a very productive couple of days at Casa Hubbard. We painted 6 gallons of paint in 2 days. Here is a sneak peek at some of our progress.
Front entry. Mouldings up, mouldings painted, walls painted. Still have to paint and put up the crown moulding and replace those god awful brass door knobs.

Front hall. Again still have to paint and put up the crown moulding and those door knobs are killing me.

Kitchen.

We painted the family room as well.
We will be working on painting the kitchen and painting up the stairs over the next couple of days....once our blisters heal.

Still around
I'm still around and I hope to do some updating this weekend. Lots happening here, tons of happy, lots of unhappy. I don't like to dwell on the unhappy so I will wait until I am in a better frame of mind and then I will be back.
In the mean time here is some HAPPY.
Ready for picture day at school.

Our boys ready for bed. Everyone sleeps like this right?

Until later

Lemonade for Liv
This summer Riley held her first annual Lemonade for Liv stand. All money raised went in support of Alivia's Rainbows.
We are so proud of Riley and her kind and giving heart. She truly is one of the most kind, caring and empathetic little girls we have ever known.
Riley's lemonade stand got the attention of the Smile Epedemic too .
She raised 137.00 in 2 hours. We are so thankful for all of our friends who stopped in, bought lemonade and lended a helping hand. Riley's teacher and her generous donation was the icing in the cake. Thank you!
