I was unloading the dishwasher, when Simon required a little assistance in the washroom. When I returned this is what I found....


So, I did what every good mother would do, got my camera and took the photo. Priceless.

Styles Goes To Baby Time And The Doctor

Cooper is in a play group called Baby Time at the Rec Center. He is the oldest baby in the class and takes great pleasure in crawling circles around all the other babies. As you can see, he is the most stylish baby in the class too.



After his class on Monday, he had a doctors appointment. All I have to say is our baby is a giant. He measured 30 inches long which puts him off the charts in percentile and 21 pounds 8 1/2 oz, putting him in the 95 percentile. No wonder my biceps are bulging, I carry a giant around half the day.

Trouble....again

This little one is going to be the death of me!

Change

After a lot of careful thought, consideration, meetings, letters and worry we decided to move Simon from his Montessori school into another one. It was a very hard and emotional decision for us as we have been at that school for two years now, we have grown very close to the teachers and the other students but..... things are different this year. The school was no longer a good fit for Simon or our family. Time for change.

Simon was very excited about this new school because "there's a playground, we go on field trips and there are big kids there." Here he is all ready to go.




When I dropped him off he went in, hung up his coat and went into his classroom. I had to find him and ask him for a kiss goodbye. When we picked him up the first thing he said was "can I go back tomorrow?" We are so proud of him and so thankful this change has gone as smoothly as it has. Way to go Simon!

Second Annual Cousins Party

This past weekend my mom and my Aunt Connie held the second annual cousins party. This tradition started last year in order to get all of us together at least once a year. My extended family is all very close, we used to have dinner together every Sunday at my grandparents house...all 14 of us.

This year the party was held at the home my grandparents are in. The party started off with a good old fashioned leaf fight with Riley, Simon and Adele.

Winter Festival of Lights

The weather has been absolutely unbelievable. It's November and we all able to run around outside without coats. We wanted to take advantage of the warmth so we spent the afternoon and evening in Niagara Falls. First stop, feed the munchkins at the Rain Forest Cafe.

We went in the restaurant with Riley and Simon but left with a frog and a fish.




Bellies are full now to walk over to the Winter Festival of Lights Opening Ceremonies. Riley takes the high road.

Zipper Club

This is a post I have been meaning to write for quite some time. Riley is in the zipper club at school. She can now do her own zipper up and is one of the helpers to do up other children's zippers. I must say, this new found talent is very helpful at home too.

Halloween Candy

As you saw from a recent post our kids got WAY too much candy. We decided to let them each pick 10 pieces of candy from the huge pile, that way they could have one a day for ten days. The rest they could exchange for a trip to the toy store to choose a toy of choice....OK, not total free choice, but within reason. They were thrilled with this idea and happily picked out their candy, the rest well will go in my belly and sent to Jason's school to keep the English teachers happy.

Riley chose ANOTHER princess doll. I think we own them all now. Simon chose a Play mobile toy and Cooper (can't leave out Coop) got a penguin.


Happy kids, happy teeth ( we already have our share of teeth problems thanks to poor little Coop), happy mom and dad!!!!

Happy Halloween

Another fantastic night for us. What great nights don't start out with eating mice and ghosts?
