Happy Birthday Grandma

We finally had the chance to celebrate Simon's and Jason's mom's birthday together. The plan to have a get together at our house was ruined by a house showing....one that didn't even show up. We went to Grandma and Grandpa's house for some pizza and cake.

The birthday boy eagerly awaits his cake.

Happy birthday to you!!!!

Who needs presents when a singing card makes you this happy?

A new helmet to protector our kamikaze bike riders melon.

A "horseshoe" jersey. This is Simon's hockey player face.

Happy Birthday Grandma!!!!

9 Years

It was our wedding anniversary in July. July 14th. We didn't do anything to celebrate...in fact we weren't even together. Jason was in Toronto and I was at the cottage with the kids. There's always next year. I told Riley that I would put my dress on for her and that she would have the chance to try it on. She will never pass up the chance to model for the camera.

Ma Mere et Pa Pere

When we were in Welland for the weekend we spent some time with Ma Mere and Pa Pere. We are so lucky to have Great Grandparents in our childrens lives.

The boys played pirates.

Went for rides on Pa Pere's walker.

Snuggled in bed with Ma Mere.

An Adventure A Day - Nancy's Backyard Oasis

My friend Nancy was out of town for a couple of days. She nicely offered up her beautiful backyard to the kids and I. We spent two glorious mornings there. Thank you Nance!

Our Life: Uncensored

Life.
Life has been stressful.
Life has thrown us a lot of curve balls.
Lots has been going on.
A lot of things have changed.
Yet we still have a lot of unknowns.

Here it is in a nutshell....

* The lot that we fell in love with. The one that started this moving process for us. Is no longer ours. We signed it back to the builder. For reasons unknown. For reasons that racked up our lawyer bill and we will never know.

* We did chose an new lot. An equally as large lot. Backing onto farm land. With a nice compensation package.

* We hired the WORST real estate agent on earth. An agent who has done absolutely nothing. An agent who cost us more in lawyer fees. An agent who as our lawyer said is "extorting us."

* My health is not good. I found a lump, in my neck. I did go and get in checked out. Apparently it's my lymth node. He had no idea why it was swollen. We are watching it. I am getting lots of headaches. Cause is unknown. I also have experienced my 1st,2nd,3rd,4th and 5th anxiety attack.

* My grandmother and grandfather are not doing well. Lots of medical things going on there.

* Jason's leave to go to Turkey for 10 days has been approved.

* We have received a conditional offer on our house. NO THANKS TO OUR AGENT.

* Jason's position with Volleyball Canada for the fall and winter are still up in the air.

* My transfer is still not happening. Hoping to hear something in late August.

* Because we are still waiting to hear about my transfer the school that the kids will attend in the fall is unknown. We are a package deal.

There you have it...if you are still reading anyway.

An Adventure A Day - Wasaga Beach with Daddy

We are home from the cottage for a couple of weeks. Jason is coaching almost every single day. He leaves before the kids wake and is home after bedtime. The impact of that last statement is another post, another day.

The kids and I decided to try to go on an adventure a day. Jason was home to enjoy the morning at the beach.
