New Years Eve Morning - Which way to the beach?
New Years Eve morning started on the beach. The sun was shining, the temperature was around 60 degrees so we took full advantage of our time.
Cooper's clothes changed 38 times because that is precisely how many times he face planted into the ocean.
Look closely, a dolphin! We luckily got to see dolphins jump and play in the waves every single day.
Christmas Vacation 2012 - Day Three
Day three started just like every other day in Myrtle Beach, on the beach. The temperatures sat in between 50 and 60 degrees all week. Certainly not hot, but definitely enjoyable.
We had a blast walking the beach, chasing birds, collecting shells, playing tag and just plain old hanging out.
Cue massive amounts of beach pictures.
After the morning on the beach, we headed out to Ripley's Aquarium to see the mermaid show.
After the aquarium we continued to explore the area around the aquarium which is called Broadway at the Beach.
We may have indulged in everything Broadway by the Beach had to offer, including Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville. I mean, how could one pass up balloon hats, a gluten free menu and a margarita hurricane.
Cheers

Christmas Vacation 2012 - Day Two
Another full day of driving with kids who were rock stars. Complete rock stars.
We embraced our "it's about the journey" motto in Virginia, when we were stuck for over two hours stopped on the hi-way. A tractor trailer over turned and we were at a dead stop. We, along with everyone else, got out of the car and played games up and down the middle of the hi-way.
Some nice truck driver even gave the boys his life collection of transport trading cards.
After about 10 hours of travel, we arrived to our hotel in Myrtle Beach. We rented a two bedroom, two bathroom, ocean front condo with an indoor water park.
Christmas Vacation 2012 - Day One
We started our Christmas Vacation out at 7:00am, in our jammies, homemade scones in hand with the right frame of mind, it's about the journey. That statement rang true for our entire trip, and what a journey it was.
It was a long, but fun day of travel. We had a technology malfunction which lead us straight to Best Buy and a 60 minute wait at the boarder. Other then that, smooth sailing.
This is the paragraph where I brag about how amazing the kids were. They did not complain once. The were happy, corporative, and kept all bickering to a very minimum. They were all stars.
Our stop for the night was at a Country Inn, in West Virginia. Although the hotel served it's purpose for the one night, we wouldn't stay there again.
After a good swim, a good sleep and a family self portrait we got back on the road.

Christmas Concert
Through all of Riley's illness she was determined to not let her dance team down and dance in all three Christmas Shows. We cleared everything with her doctors and they said they didn't see any reason why she couldn't. So, she did.
It was so nice to see her smile for a couple minutes a day. All those smiles came with her dancing.
