Jason and I went out on a "date" on Tuesday night. I was home with the kids and....

Me: I'm just going to run upstairs and get pretty for my date with dad.

Riley: But you already are pretty.

I went upstairs and got myself ready. I was debating on wearing a hat. I came downstairs to get the kids thoughts...

Me: What do you think? Hat? Or no hat?

Simon: I think no hat. I can see more of your beautiful face.

Sadly, we had to cancels today's adventure with our friends because this is what Simon has looked like since 6:00am. He hasn't moved. He hasn't eaten. If you know Simon you know that he must really not be feeling well, he usually is in constant motion.

Girl Time

Riley and I headed down to my mom's for a little girl time. We packed it all into 24 hours.

And shopping, shopping, shopping.



I even got one full hour all to myself while my mom took Riley to the park. I will be honest with you, I didn't know what to do with myself and I felt a bit guilty for laying on the coach and watching T.V. for an hour during the day.

We were lucky enough to have Bree, Izzy and Kate stop in at our house for the afternoon on their way home from a cottage. Visits with them are always so fantastic, we wish there were more of them.

Last Cottage Week Of The Summer {sniff, sniff}

We spent yet another glorious 10 days at the cottage. We can not express enough how lucky we are to have a cottage to go to.

We are already looking forward to getting back up there this fall.
