Our babes...

I am going to try....I said try... to post a photo of each child for every month of their lives....up to Coopers age. It is so neat to me to see their similarities and differences in the way they look and their little mannerisms. Ok, here I go....

Birth....

Our poor little natural birth baby Riley. I am so thankful for this experience. The greatness of this moment is totally unexplainable. I would love to have this feeling again.

Simon a perfect c-section baby. After labouring for 8 hours (totally my fault) I had my scheduled c-section, not on it's scheduled day. A completely different experience this time around, but equally amazing.

Cooper another babe, another experience. This time the scheduled c-section happened on its scheduled day BUT the c-section was nothing close to routine.....I leave this story for another time....maybe.

The first days...

Ok, I am done for tonight. We leave for the cottage in the morning and I have a ton of work to do....but this is so much more fun....

LET'S GO RAPTORS!!!!!!!

One of Jason's Christmas presents was four tickets to go to see the Raptors play. Friends of ours have season tickets and I was able to get their seats for the game. The seats are fabulous, they are in the Air Canada gold section which means we didn't have to wait in the line to get in, the section has it's own washroom, its own lounge area and the best part in-seat service. We went as a family and we had an exhaustingly fabulous time.

Had to do the subway again. It is such a thrill to see the world through our children's eyes. Most adults see taking the subway as a nuisance, the kids loved it. When we got off the subway Simon loudly said "I LOVE THE SUBWAY!" A lady waiting for the next train quickly responded "that will change quickly." Wouldn't it be nice if we all saw joy and excitement in our everyday activities like kids can.

We made sure we arrived nice and early so we could have lunch and then play in the fun zone.

Ready to go and cheer.

The game and our little Raptors fans.

Enjoying that in-seat service. Nothing beats drinking a cold beer from an adult sippy cup.

Sunday is family day so kids 12 and under get to go out onto the floor and shoot a free throw. Riley and Simon waiting their turn.

Riley takes a shot.

And this is the photo I got of Simon shooting....the ball guy stepped right in front of the camera, UGH.

Here they are taking care of each other. They held hands while they were waiting and they both made sure the other one was alright. These are the moments, the quiet moments, when nobody is looking that make us most proud of them.

Christmas Past

One of the gifts the techno geek Jason recieved for Christmas was a 1TB external hard drive. It has allowed us to take all our photos off our old computer and merge them with the new computer photos. I sat looking through pictures and just can't get over how much everyone has changed and grown.

Riley was 9 months old for her first Christmas. We had just moved into this house, 20 days to be exact, hence the white walls and nothing on the windows.

Simon was 5 months old for his first Christmas.

Riley was 21 months old on her second Christmas.

Here they are together.

Our third Christmas as a family was in 2007, Riley was 32 months old and Simon was 18 months old.

In 2008, Riley was 3 1/2 (closer to 4) and Simon was 2 1/2 and I was hugely pregnant.

Bringing us to our family of five in 2009. Wow, what a crazy 5 Christmases! Wonder what next year will bring?????
