Still Here

I'm still here.
I have lots to say and share
BUT
blogger is being cranky.
I fed her some money...hopefully she'll come around
BUT
Apparently she takes 24 hours to loosen up a little.

Tiny Dancer

She is ready to go for another year of dance. Sadly, we had to change dance schools because her studio is now closed due to retirement. We are very happy with our decision to go to Dance Vision. But of course, they have a different dress code...black tank style body suit, a specific brand of tights, ballet shoes and jazz shoes.

All ready to go....

OH, THE PLACES YOU'LL GO!

Congratulations!
Today is your day.
You're off to Great Places!
You're off and away!

You have brains in your head.
You have feet in your shoes.
You can steer yourself
any direction you choose.
You're on your own. And you know what you know.
And YOU are the guy who'll decide where to go.

Out there things can happen
and frequently do
to people as brainy
and footsy as you.

You wont lag behind, because you'll have the speed.
You'll pass the whole gang and you'll soon take the lead.
Wherever you fly, you'll be the best of the best.
Wherever you go, you will top all the rest.

And will you succeed?
Yes! You will, indeed!
(98 and 3/4 percent guaranteed.)
KID YOU'LL MOVE MOUNTAINS!

So...
be your name Buxbaum or Bixby or SIMON
or Mordecai Ali Van Allen O'Limon,
you're off to Great Places!
Today is your day!
Your mountain is waiting.
So...GET ON YOUR WAY!

JK Interview

Do you think he may be just a little excited to meet his teacher for the first time?

I was so proud of him. He was so confident talking to Mrs. Marks. He did a picture of himself, wrote his name and looked right into her eyes on the way out and said, "Thanks Mrs. Marks, see you tomorrow."

We are about to begin another chapter in Simon's life. We can't wait!

Ready to go...

She is all set for her first day of Senior Kindergarten and as excited as can be.

All she could talk about on the way to school was playing with her friends, drinking from her new Tinkerbell container and eating from her Tinkerbell lunch bag. She had plans, first she would play with Devyn, William and Melanie then she would look for her grade one friends. Her confidence was inspiring, her excitement contagious.

I watched as she happily skipped into the kindergarten yard, quickly meeting up with her friends and never looking back.

I watched as she lined up ready to go. Smile from ear to ear.

I watched as she unpacked her backpack for her first day in SK. I watched with amazement. She is beautiful, she is kind, she is smart, she is confident, she all these things and so much more....she is mine.

I watched her all day long, sneaking peeks in her classroom from mine.

At the end of the day she happily skipped back into my classroom, the same big smile on her face and she announced "I love it in there" pointing to her classroom. "I had the best first day ever."

For all this, I am thankful.

Ryan and Hillary

I am skipping over our trip to Disney until Jason gets home with our computer. Half of the photos are on that computer and I want to do the trip in order. I am moving right to our time spent with Uncle Ryan and Aunt Hillary.

I am so happy that they came home.... just wish the circumstances were better. We had a great few days with them.

Eating Sushi

Going to Happy Rolph's Animal Sanctuary

Going to the park

Learning to climb trees

Having quiet moments

And it was so nice to have the torture of my brother passed onto someone else.

Time

I have been away for a while.

I have so much to share....serving contests, Disney, Disney, Disney, time with my brother and Hillary.

There is so much happening...Jason is in Turkey coaching at Worlds, Riley starts school, Simon starts school, Riley starts dance, Simon starts hockey, our house....

All of this seems a little insignificant right now. We lost my sweet grandma on Sept. 1st. My grandma was a huge part of our lives, she took us in for years after my father left. I am not sure what would have happened to us it wasn't for her.

I have no photos to post of her right now...Jason has our computer in Turkey, I'm working off my mom's laptop.

I will do my best to update the past few weeks, over the next few days.
