Ready to go...

She is all set for her first day of Senior Kindergarten and as excited as can be.

All she could talk about on the way to school was playing with her friends, drinking from her new Tinkerbell container and eating from her Tinkerbell lunch bag. She had plans, first she would play with Devyn, William and Melanie then she would look for her grade one friends. Her confidence was inspiring, her excitement contagious.

I watched as she happily skipped into the kindergarten yard, quickly meeting up with her friends and never looking back.

I watched as she lined up ready to go. Smile from ear to ear.

I watched as she unpacked her backpack for her first day in SK. I watched with amazement. She is beautiful, she is kind, she is smart, she is confident, she all these things and so much more....she is mine.

I watched her all day long, sneaking peeks in her classroom from mine.

At the end of the day she happily skipped back into my classroom, the same big smile on her face and she announced "I love it in there" pointing to her classroom. "I had the best first day ever."

For all this, I am thankful.
