My Heart

My heart has been touched.

My head has been in other places.

I can not get my mind off this fact..147 MILLION ORPHANS....and counting.

As we build a new house, as I throw food into the trash, as I fill ANOTHER rubbermaid container with clothing. These children have NOBODY to hug them, NOBODY to wash their wounds, NOBODY to feed them, NOBODY to give them clean water. NOBODY.

I am not sure what my role is in this yet....

I am not sure how I can make a difference.

Celebrating Lilly

Our friend Lilly is turning 7. To celebrate her we went skating. We had a great time playing hockey, racing with the skate trainers and watching Coop on skates (not bob skates).

Of course, the cake was enjoyed too.

I love that he listed his favourite game as Simon Says. What a hoot!

This page was very interesting to fill out with him. He wanted to list his favourite T.V. Show as Spiderman. I said, "but honey, you have never watched Spiderman." To which he replied. "I can't write Diego, my friends will laugh at me." It just goes to show how quickly they learn.

Tiny Dancers

Riley's dance studio recently hosted a parents night. We were able to go into the dance class and take pictures and video.

They had parents participating in the class as well, which I was thrilled to do until....I was upstaged by a certain two year old.

Simon found ways to entertain himself.

I took some great video but seem to be running into problems posting video from my new camera....anyone?

Once I get it figured out, I will post.

47/365 - Mommy's Sick

I just wanna live while I'm alive, it's my life.

Jason and I spent an amazing Valentines with amazing friends, amazing music and amazing food.

We started off our night having dinner at the Air Canada Club restaurant. Home of the $32.00 hamburger and $51.00 Prime Rib. I had the prime rib and Jason had the Lamb, it was yummy.

While we ate adult food, drinking adult drinks and having adult conversation Bon Jovi entertained us with his sound check. A.MAZ.ING.

After dinner we headed to our seats to dance, sing and rock our best jazz hands with Jon.

I took some video to post too. Check back later....Whooah, we're half way there....

House - Plumbing and Duct Work

Most of the plumbing is in. The duct work is in. The electrician comes this week. Close date is 2 months from tomorrow. My brain does not shut off. This is all I can think about. I lay awake for hours each night thinking, worrying, planning.

Tuesday Tea

Every Tuesday the kids and I have a tea party.
We drink "kids tea"

We eat crumpets.

We speak in our best English accents.

Winterfest

We spent the morning at Barrie's Winterfest. The warm temperature brought out every. single. person. in the city. The lines were long but there was fun to be had.

The helicopter was thrilling.

The rides were spinny.

The slides were fast.
