Cottage Life

We spent a glorious long weekend up at the cottage with our friends the Parker Family. Our family and their family is the perfect match. Our kids are about the same ages, they are interested in the same type of play and kids don't get any nicer than those three Parker Kids.....and parents don't get any better than those Parker Parents!

We had an action packed weekend....

Rock walking.

Swimming.....lots of swimming

Catching frogs and exploring bugs.

Of course, working. Jason with some help from Drew got a good start on the kids "beach".

The beach is a huge success. Hopefully we will be able to complete it next week when we are there.

Fishing. A first for the Lilly, Katie and Adam, and they all caught something.

Making a cake to celebrate July 1 and July 4 for Drew. Don't laugh at the Maple Leaf...there was a disagreement, of sorts:)

Eating.

Campfires with Drew.

Roasted marshmallows and smores with peanut butter cups inside. Best. Idea. Ever.

Screaming Heads and the falls.

Crafting puppets and selling them. They range in price from $1.00 to $20.00, take your pick.

Naps under trees.

Bubbles.

Sunsets.

We had planned to go home on Monday, but it wasn't a hard decision to make to stay there until Wednesday night. Jason would go back to Toronto to run his practices. I would stay with the kids. Again. Best. Idea. Ever.

We filled the pool...literally.

Had water balloon fights...an hour of filling the balloons for about three minutes of fun. So worth it.

We cried when we had to leave on Wednesday night. The kids were sad too. We are home for 3 days. Having Simon's birthday party and having some friends up for a night.

We are counting the sleeps.
