Mother's Day

Mother's Day this year was ironically one of my most trying days as a mommy of three. We were at the Holiday Inn all weekend and Jason was busy coaching all weekend, that left me a single parent in a hotel with three children. Saturday was great...besides the fact that we were just about to step foot out the door and golf ball sized hail started to fall. By Sunday, we were all a little tired and Simon was giving me a run for my money.
Back on topic....I woke up to a wonderful little movie that Jason and the kids made for me. I will try to link it to this blog later. I was spoiled with new running shoes, water bottle, running shorts, running bra ( yes, I will explain these purchases). I also got a beautiful t-shirt that Riley and Simon made for me at school, I wore it all day on Sunday.

Thank you Ri, Si, Coop and daddy for all of the wonderful gifts.

Cuddles

We had a great weekend together at the Holiday Inn...it was exhusting and trying at times but was still a lot of fun. I did manage to have all three kids napping at the same time in the room....I did a little happy dance then passed out myself.

We logged some serious cuddle time together this weekend.

Fish

With their life jackets on both Riley and Simon can swim like fish. They go all over the pool on their own, including jumping in from the edge.....and when I say on their own, I mean on their own....Jason was working all weekend and I didn't go into the pool because of Cooper. We are so proud of how well they can both swim and how much they love to swim....maybe they will follow in their daddy's footsteps and become competitive swimmers.

Volcano!!!!

We finally felt brave enough to order a Volcano at the Rain Forest Cafe. It was a hit with Riley and Simon....and mommy and daddy too.

Cooper keeps his eye on that dessert.

A lot of fruit for bedtime snack....because eating the fruit erases the fact that I let them eat that much chocolate and ice cream, right?

Bon Voyage

Friday we met my Aunt Connie and my Mom for dinner before they left on their 2 week cruise. They are flying into Italy and cruising to Africia and through Europe....IF, these two crazies don't get kicked off the ship first.

Exhaustion

I am completely exhausted after our weekend in Toronto at the Holiday Inn.

My sleeping partner is one of the many reasons....

Bun-Bun

We feel so lucky!!!! In the last week or so we have seen a rabbit and an otter at the cottage. A wolf, coyote and a little bunny around our house. The kids and I have been watching this bunny make a home under our BBQ for the last couple of days hoping his mommy would be around, sadly no mommy to be seen. We named him Bun-Bun and tried to convince Jason to let us keep him as a pet. After doing some research we realized that keeping a wild bunny for a pet was not a good idea...but he was so cute.

We had a few fun hours with him...we thought it was fun, I'm sure he thought differently. Then we walked him to the forest to let him free. The whole time we were walking him over the kids were yelling "it's OK mommy rabbit, Bun-Bun is coming home."

We miss Bun-Bun already:(

Cottage Weekend

We had a beautiful weekend together at the cottage.

Every good cottage weekend starts at Webers.

All snuggled in ready for bed

Saturday we went into Burks Falls to our favourite little coffee shop and then on a hike.

Saturday night we had a "camp out". We all slept together in the living room, roasted marshmellows and watched movies.

Even Newman joined in.

Pirate Boy

Simon loves pirates....no, he is completely obsessed with pirates. I couldn't resist when I saw this pirate t-shirt and pirate underware.

Two Teeth

The teething has begun....two are breaking through on the bottom.

Can you see them?

OK, maybe not yet.

He sure has been doing a lot of this....

The reason the kids and I go on daily adventures....

What happens when we stay home.

Hullabaloo

Thank you Olijnyk Family for our new game Hullabaloo! We love to play it.
