Friends

We are very lucky to have many special friends in our lives. One of those special families is the Parker family. Our friendship began with our kids friendships at Montessori school. We love to spend time with them and our three kids love playing with their three kids.

On Friday night we went to their house for dinner. As usual, the kids put on dress up and did a singing and dancing show for us.

I'm sure this is what these two will be doing with each other for many years to come.

The lion and fireman.

Thanks for another great night Parker family.

Skating With Our Truly Canadian Kids

We finally got the kids out on their skates for the first time this year. We have been meaning to get out there for a long time now but life is so busy.

They did so well. They loved it. We are going back out tonight after Jason gets home from work.

Skiing, Wonderful Skiing

Another day of lessons, another day of mass improvement.

Riley is able to ride the rope toe with out any assistance getting on and off. She is a turning and stopping machine. Again they took her off to ride the lifts.

Simon moved onto the bigger magic carpet hill. He is making turns and stopping. He even tried to go off a little jump a few times.

Cooper is the cheerleader at the bottom of the hill. Clapping as each person comes down.

Let's Hear It For The Boys

Simon is in an all boys dance class on Monday evenings. Last Monday, was one of the nights that parents had the opportunity to watch. I am so happy I am not that teacher and I hope she gets paid a lot of money, A LOT OF MONEY. Boys. are. different. I almost lost it completely when at the end she said that this class was her best listeners. HA!!!! I gave Simon the hairy eyeball a few times, he had a talking to after the class and he was one of the quietest ones in the room. CRAZY.

Sorry about the picture quality. The lighting was not so good.

Superbowl Party

We prepared a feast for the Superbowl, it actually was enough to feed about ten people. Here we are ready to watch the game and begin eating.

It's so hard to be popular

Riley and Simon have multiple birthday parties to attend over the next month. Here they are living it up at party number one.... 6 more to go over the next 4 weeks.

In half a second or less...

...Cooper goes from the quiet observer...

...to this...

Last week...

...they took my baby on the chair lift. WITHOUT ME!!! I was nervous but so proud that she has come so far so quickly. I am preparing our things for another day of lessons. I am preparing my nerves for them to take her on the chair lift again.

There she goes.....sigh:(

Snowmobeebo...

...as Simon says.

The kids were lucky enough to go for a snowmobile ride on Saturday. Thanks for stopping by N and D!

Happy More Than Three Decades Kara!!!!

Last week was my friend Kara's birthday. A big birthday. All I will say is she is more than three decades old but less than five.....

As part of her birthday celebration her husband rented a box for the Blue Rodeo concert on Friday night.

We had a great time complete with snacks, drinks, virtual Zippos, flashing and cougars. We even got shushed a few times.....who gets shushed at a concert?

Thanks for another great night Paul and Kara.

Our B.C. Adventure - Day Five - Bye Bye B.C.

Sadly, Coop and I have come to the end of our time in B.C. We flew out at 4:30 but I wanted to leave a lot of time to get to the airport, stop at view points and figure out how on earth I was to carry all our things including a car seat by myself.

First stop was in Squamish at Brakendale Eagle Park. A quote from their website "This community also boasts the largest gathering of bald eagles in North America. " Well, there wasn't one eagle there. NOT ONE!

We stopped at a few other view points along the way.

We arrived at the airport with time to return our rental car, take out the car seat and get through security with some time to spare. Our flight home was great, Cooper had a good sleep and we sat beside the most delightful girl from Australia.

We had a great trip, it was so nice to spend the time with my family. It is so important to us that my brother is a part of our children's life. He loves them so much and we love being with him.
