Happy 6th Birthday Si Guy!!!!

We hosted Simon's Birthday party a couple of weeks early again this year. We do this so his party is in the school year and we are not having to worry about people being on holidays.

Simon asked for an Angry Birds Water Party. So this is what he got...

A backyard full of water games. The water slide, a slip and slide, water balloons

He had Angry Birds cake and cupcakes

Angry Birds decor, food and drink

The kids had a blast on all the water games

We had angry birds building complete with the sling shot to knock the piggies down

After all that fun, we had 16 hungry kids on our hands

The Happy Birthday Song

Time for Simon to be spoiled

We are so thankful for all beautiful friends in our life. Thanks for making Simon's day so memorable.

We love you with all our hearts Si Guy!!

Fathers Day at the Hockey Hall of Fame

Fathers Day started off right. Breakfast and presents in bed

We then drove to Yorkdale Mall and caught the subway in Toronto for our day at the Hockey Hall of Fame.

Our first stop in Toronto....lunch.

Then we headed into The Hall Of Fame and took all the obligatory photos.

Played all the games

Did the necessary shopping

Then headed home for a boat load of sushi for dinner

Happy Father's Day Jason. Thank you for being you and thank you for sharing such a great day with us.

It works....now what?

This new program appears to be working, but now I am overwhelmed with where to start to catch up when I haven't blogged in 2 months.
Let's go back to the beginning of June, shall we?
June was filled with time at Canada's Wonderland

Fun with friends

Final swimming lessons

Private Jim Cuddy concerts to benefit Gilda's Club. I am soooooooo lucky to have these amazing opportunities.
The host house was owned by an NHL player and was located right on Lake Simcoe. It was amazing.

Mr. Jim Cuddy

Kara and I

Riley had wacky hair day

Riley and Simon had career day. Riley is an artist, Simon is a rock star and Cooper just wanted to be like his big sister and brother.

Riley had Hawaiian day

We finished Simon's drum lessons and Riley continued to find ways to entertain herself while we waited.

We went to see Madagascar 3 at the Drive in. This is definitely the way to see a movie when you have a large family. It was only 25.00 for all of us. I had brought our own snacks and drinks and we could be in our P.J.'s:). A night out at the regular theatre easily costs us 100.00. The Drive in was much more economical.

That's all for tonight. I will get to Simon's birthday party and our trip to the Hockey Hall of Fame tomorrow.

I think I'm back....

So it turns out that blogging from an iPad is not ideal. I was using a program called Blogsy and something happened, it wouldn't work any more. So, I'm trying this app.

Let's see if I could get this going, I have a lot of catching up to do.

In the mean time, look at our sleeping angel

Heavy Hearts

We love you Uncle Pete. You are an amazing man and an amazing role model for many. The world has lost a great man, husband, father, grandpa, great uncle, uncle, firefighter and Simon has lost his hero. You are constantly in our thoughts.

Much, much love. Xoxoxoxo
