Remembering
Setting up our Christmas Tree this year was very emotional for me. We have a lot going on in our family and have been struggling with a few things, things that I do not care to share on this blog. This is a happy place.
We took a walk down memory lane hanging the ornaments. Each ornament can tell a story about that stage in our life.
First we were a family of three. Jason, Amanda and our little dog Fred. It's been five years since Fred has been gone. We still miss him and crazy antics.
Then came the years that we didn't set up a tree. We headed to Myrtle Beach and pretended that there weren't happy people in this world celebrating Christmas with their young children.
Then our lives changed. We set up a tree and happily hung this ornament.
Some how, some way, the people who couldn't, could. We spent three Christmases with the honour of hanging these types of ornaments.
We are now blessed with little hands that make us precious gifts during Christmas.
We truly are blessed.

A Sneak Peek
We had the chance of going into a spec. home of our model on the weekend. We have chosen different finishes but you will get the picture of the layout.
The entry way from the front door (my mom coming out of the closet, Coop was hiding in there)
On the left is the office.
On the right is the living room and dining room.
In the living room, looking into dinning room.
In the dinning room looking back into the living room.
The kitchen.
Looking from the kitchen into the eating area and family room

I did not take many photos of the upstairs because we redesigned ours but here is the playroom (which is above the double garage)
Master bedroom from both directions
The hardwood floor that you see on the main level is the same hardwood we chose. The entire main floor will be hardwood, including the kitchen, with the exception on the foyer.

Real Hockey Parents
Last Saturday we became "real hockey parents." Well, for a day anyway. Simon had his first full day hockey tournament. We arrived at the arena at 11:00am and headed home at 7:00pm.
They started with O Canada and player introductions. Then Simon's team played three games.
Every time he touched the puck he turned and looked at me with the biggest beaming smile on his face. Not so competitive, but oh so cute!
The medals.
The Team.
And a very happy boy!

The Annual Gingerbread House Destruction
You Capture - Outside
This weeks you capture at I Should Be Folding Laundry is outside.
I thought this would be an easy task. We spend a lot of time outside. Then the temperature dropped to -27 and the snow started to fall...and it hasn't stopped.
During the days the weather was -27 we spent a lot of time indoors, wishing we could be outdoors.
Drinking hot drinks from my newest little piece of heaven.
Dancing to Nuttin' for Christmas and I want a Hippopotamus for Christmas.
We did manage to get outside...this morning.
The snow was too deep for poor little Coop. He spent most of his outdoor time frustrated. In the house he went.
