Day Four - The Wedding Day - Part One

There is so much to say and so many pictures to share that I will have split this post up into multiple posts.

After our morning of getting Riley the flower girl , Simon the ring bearer, myself a groomswoman (I love that title) along with Jason the videographer and over seer of all things and Cooper the cutest baby on earth all dressed and ready to go we headed out to chair one on Crystal Mountain. Once we reached the top of that lift we then rode another lift which took us to 6800 feet.

At 6800 feet we found Hillary loading bikes into the back of a pick up truck....this would only happen in our family.

Hillary and her mom Karen taking some bikes to the half way point by truck.

We strapped Cooper into the Baby Bjorn and Simon into the backpack and began our hike. This leg took us about 20 minutes on rocky terrain and a path that was about three feet wide....this was the easy part of the hike. It was absolutely amazing up there. I am so happy we were able to experience this.

Some of the guest rode their bikes all the way up. Some guest and some of the wedding party rode their bikes from the top of the lift.

At the half way point there was a refueling station with chairs, umbrellas for shade, water and some snacks. The view from here was outstanding so we took the opportunity to take a few more pics. Doesn't my dress look great with the Baby Bjorn? Cooper was the ultimate dress accessory....some people wear jewels, I wear babies.

The rest of our hike lasted about another 25 minutes. The path was about a foot wide, it was sandy and immediately to the right was about a 400 foot drop. I was a little nervous about Riley walking this alone but she did it without any issue.

We arrived at the site of the ceremony and was it ever worth the hike. Breathtaking views of Mt. Rainier. A gorgeous mountain meadow full of wild flowers. The perfect spot for Ryan and Hillary.
