Day one - Seattle

We had a fantastic time on our vacation west. We can not Thank Ryan, Hilary and Hillary's family enough for everything they did for us. It is amazing how quickly we all felt comfortable and at home there. Thank you for an amazing time! Hopefully we will be together again soon.

I will let the pictures tell the story....I only took 376 of them!

We arrived in Seattle on Tuesday evening. The plane ride was great and the kids had a blast. Simon kept repeating "I'm so exciting" over and over again.

By the time we got our bags, picked up our rental cars ( we had 2 cars), installed the cars seats and got to the house on the lake it was 12:00am.

A morning cuddle with Uncle Ryan.

We logged some serious dock time. Here they are learning about the muskrat Ryan told them they would have to sleep with....now I'm old enough not to be tortured by him, he has moved onto my kids:)

A Kayak ride on Lake Washington.

Of course we had to make multiple trips to Starbucks.

Seattle hit it's highest recorded tempertures while we were there - 110 degrees. We spend most of the day in the lake with "our new family" as Riley would say.

We made a trip into downtown Seattle and went to Pike Place and REI.

It was too hot out so back into the lake we went.
