Thanksgiving Weekend

We had a very nice Thanksgiving Weekend. On Friday, Grandpa came to pick up Riley and Simon and took them apple picking. They had a wonderful and tasty morning together. Thank you Grandpa!!!!

Friday after Jason worked we packed up the van and headed to the cottage. Grandpa came with us for the weekend too. Friday evening we had dinner, unpacked and did some hill running and playing inside. The excitment of the night came at dinner time, Riley had finished eating and was playing Cinderella. She came to the dinner table and in this little tiny voice said "mommy, I just saw a tiny, tiny, tiny.." She didn't even finish her sentence and a mouse ran across the floor. YIKES!!!!!! I am deathly afraid of mice and rats. I would have much rather seen a snake, spider, bat, you name it. I scooped up Riley and jumped up on the kitchen chair. Then the mouse hunters went to work.

Saturday was fantastic. Riley and Grandpa made us all a great blueberry pancake breakfast.

Relaxed in our jammies and read books.

We went for a walk to look at the leaves and enjoy the beautiful weather.

We ran up and down the driveway.

Had a yummy snack.

We raked a HUGE pile of leaves and jumped into them. This was the highlight of the weekend for the kids, they loved it.

Riley kept asking to go swimming. We told her that the water was too cold....she was determined. She asked if she could dunk her feet, next thing we knew she was sitting in the lake, jogging suit and all!!!!

And even humoured me by putting on their new clothes for a photo in leaves.

So adorable! The cottage looks so ideal, and the colors are wonderful. Ahhh....I am so jealous. The kids look great.
